April 5, 1981 St. Michael’s Centre opened their doors for the community Under the sponsorship of the Anglican, Roman Catholic, and United Churches. The opening ceremony was officiated by Archbishop C. P. Gowes, Archbishop J. E. Careny and Reverend S. W. Rowels.
